Slide Learn More Compassionate Farewell Understanding Pet Euthanasia

Slide Upon our arrival, we will warmly greet both you and your pet, allowing ample time for your pet to acclimate to a new person in their home. We may offer treats, gentle cuddles, or maintain a respectful distance if that is what your pet prefers. Next, we will address any questions or concerns you may have about the procedure or aftercare, and ask for your signature on the necessary forms. Euthanasia Process

Slide Comfortable Setting When everyone feels ready to proceed, we will find a cozy and comfortable spot for your pet to be during the procedure. This could be their special bed, your living room, or even outside under their favorite tree—anywhere they feel most at ease.

The euthanasia process typically involves two injections. The first is a sedative administered under the skin using a small needle. The sensation is similar to a pinprick, like when they receive a vaccination. Within 5-10 minutes, your pet will begin to feel relaxed, entering a restful, deep sleep without any pain or anxiety.

Slide End-of-Life Procedure The final injection is an overdose of anesthesia administered directly into the bloodstream, typically in one of the back legs. This allows your pet to transition peacefully from a deep sleep to a painless passing, completely free from stress or suffering. Throughout the entire process, you are encouraged to hold, cuddle, kiss, talk to, and comfort your pet. We want you to feel as connected to them as possible.

Once your pet has peacefully passed, we will carefully listen with a stethoscope to confirm their passing. We understand the importance of providing you with a private moment to begin your grieving process, and we will offer you the space and time you need.

Slide When you feel ready, we will respectfully handle the transportation of your pet from your home and proceed according to your selected aftercare wishes. If you have chosen an at-home private burial, we will be there to assist you in gently moving your pet to their resting place on site, ensuring they are handled with the utmost care.
